Notes
Large formation of bladed, translucent brown Gypsum "Desert Rose" crystals in spherical aggregates. The Gypsum is a hydrous calcium sulfate, but the edges are dehydrated to cause the white color. Crystals are prismatic and tabular. Rounded shape offers nice contrast to shaper, edgier minerals. Mun. de Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico. 12 x 9cm.
