Extremely large augite crystal group. The main crystal projecting from the group is about 16 cm long, and is unusually well formed, with planar crystal faces and sharp edges. Probably one of the finest known examples of this material.
Value is difficult to determine – although this is classic material from the area, the brown color acts as a deterrent to some collectors. Perhaps $2000 to the right buyer.
