Labeled andradite, but actually fluorite
Phosphorescent – protect from light. This is the chlorophane variety of fluorite and fluoresces teal green under SW UV, followed by a prolonged phosphorescence. The fluorescence is easily destroyed by exposure to incandescent light sources or to the sun; with time the red color will also bleach. Good specimens should either be kept in a dark drawer or wrapped in aluminum foil.
